Classlink is the database to allow you students access to iReady, iRead, Brainpop, and MANY other paid for databases (Please reach out if you do not have your child's username and/or password!)
Email to parents on 3/15/2020 Good morning! Over the weekend you received emails from Fulton Co. and from Ms. Nash regarding “teleschool,” please let me know if you have any questions! I will do my very best to answer them. Each morning, I will be emailing you with instructions and lessons to work on daily. The expectation is that your child is to work on the compiled assignments each day for a total of 60 minutes. I will be available via email or phone from 8-1 to each day (per the county) and if you need me past this time, please feel free to reach out! This is such an odd situation with a learning curve for us all. I would love to FaceTime or chat on the phone with your student also. Please let me know a date/time that works for you! I would like to do this every other day, if possible. I wanted to each out this morning to reassure you that I will be doing my absolute best to accommodate the needs of all my students and you all as parents. Teleschool begins, tomorrow, Tuesday 1/17. Today was a registered RFF day for teachers and I know many of you schedule appointments around those days. I have plenty of work attached to their student accounts of the following databases if you would like to work on there today: -They will need to login through Classlink https://launchpad.classlink.com/fcs -iReady (Math and Reading) - HMH Central (iRead) A couple things I would like to highlight:
I will be sending out work to cover all academics in a separate email, to ensure the content is at your students instructional level. These assignments can be printed and completed. To “submit” the assignment you will need to download a new app, Seesaw Class App.
You student is to complete, at first independently, if needed with your assistance;
On average, 2 worksheets per core academic (Reading, ELA, and Math)
They will have one worksheet for Science/Social Studies.
Additionally, I will send weekly “homework”
**Please let me know if you need more, I have no problem sending more! But I also understand this is likely your first time as parents to essentially ‘homeschool’ and I do not want to overwhelm anyone. We are all entering a time of “unknown” and I just want to say that I understand truly how odd this feels and I am here for you (I have extra toilet paper even, if you need!) I will do all I can with the information and resources that I have to ensure that your children continue to learn and grow throughout the shutdown.
